The ANPS WW today was to Bullen range entering from the Orroral Deep Space Tracking Station.
I ended up writing down 36 species with a very good mix of recent arrivals and very active 'normal' bush birds. I had great views of my first Sacred Kingfisher of the season. Most exciting was finding a dead Eastern Barn Owl. The opinion of a very experienced member of the group was that it had been dead to 2 - 4 weeks. We didn't have a suitable receptacle and it was pretty stinky so it was left in situ. In anyone wishes to collect it I can give quite precise geo-coordinates.
