Hi Rob and anyone else interested in Darwin birds. All you need is a copy of “Finding birds in Darwin, Kakadu and the Top End” by Niven McCrie and James Watson 2^nd ed. 2009. It’s very specific and was such a help when I was up there in January, or you could contact Niven: m("ntbirds.net","niven");" target="_blank" href="">  or www.ntbirds.net directly. I guess he won’t mind as his contact details are in the book anyway. Following his instructions I walked practically straight into a Rainbow Pitta in the Monsoon Forest at East Pt. Reserve and got lots of other ticks.

Hi Folks,

Is anyone familiar with places to spot birds in and around Darwin ?  I'll be going there this week and may have some spare time to have a look around.  It might be a good opportunity to pick up a couple of species that aren't common in the South.
