Hi Rob and anyone else interested in Darwin birds. All you need is a copy of “Finding birds in Darwin, Kakadu and the Top End” by Niven McCrie and James Watson 2nd ed. 2009. It’s very specific and was such a help when I was up there in January, or you could contact Niven:  or www.ntbirds.net directly. I guess he won’t mind as his contact details are in the book anyway. Following his instructions I walked practically straight into a Rainbow Pitta in the Monsoon Forest at East Pt. Reserve and got lots of other ticks.

Cheers,

Sue Beatty

Hi Folks,

Is anyone familiar with places to spot birds in and around Darwin?  I'll be going there this week and may have some spare time to have a look around.  It might be a good opportunity to pick up a couple of species that aren't common in the South.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Rob
