Hey everyone, My friend Scotty and I went to Commonwealth Park on Monday and found the flying foxes. There were about 50 of them just to the right of the stage. At the Canberra Naturalists Meeting last week the speaker was a bat specialist and told the group that the flying foxes there had been moving onto the fruit trees at Pialligo for dinner of a night. This is about the same time they wee reported in Feb 2008. Numbers not great at the moment, at a glance. Were they there last year? |
