I went back to Tuross Lake yesterday with Sue Lashko (driver - thanks, Sue), Harvey Perkins and Paul Taylor. Unfortunately, wader numbers had dropped significantly from last week - probably no more than 500 birds in total left. No sign of the BB Sand or any Sanderlings or Golden Plovers :( Mainly sharpies, stints and godwits, with a few Curlew Sands, Red Knot, RC Plovers, Turnstones, plus the odd Curlew and Pied Oyster. Nothing to speak of on Coila Lake. Still a great place to go, but not what it was a week ago!
