As the other replies have said, it is a Buff-rumped Thornbill. These are among the most regularly present species there. That is to say it is rare not to see them there on only particular day.

Shot this morning at Kambah Pool.  Although this bird has mottled feathers around the pale coloured eye and across the forehead, it was at least twice the size of a weebill; the latter being busy nearby.  This bird sat still without singing for about 30 seconds, so I got quite a few shots.  Then it darted into another tree.  None the shots is very good because I didn’t have time to move the sun around to a more convenient angle. 

 

Would love some assistance in identifying, thank you.
