This behaviour sounds more consistent with a redstart than a Familiar Chat,
however I am not familiar (sic) with Familiar Chat but descriptions in the
literature suggest it behaves more like a wheatear than a redstart. In early
October it would probably have only fairly recently arrived in Egypt from its
breeding grounds - possibly that is consistent with it being in a park by the
sea??
