Over the past 10 years or so I have come across 4
Wallaroos killed on the roads between the zoo (adjacent to the Tugg Parkway) and
Black Mt Peninsula but I have never seen a live one on Black Mt nor was any
recorded during the kangaroo count in the Aranda Bushland which involved about
30 people walking in a line counting every roo or wallaby on their left. 11
Swamp Wallabies were recorded. I suspect they (Wallaroos) come up the
Molonglo Valley heading for Black Mt or just exploring but get killed on the
way. Has anyone seen one on Black Mt?
