Without saying what others should think about this, I shall offer what I

I largely agree with what Geoffrey has to say on this topic, but I think
he omits an important factor: C. Myna, unlike the other species he
mentions that have benefited from the (sub)urbanization of the
landscape, is an introduced species. We, collectively, brought C. Myna
into this environment and this makes us culpable for the outcomes. I shy
away from demonization, as I see it as the flip side of the whole
Disney-inspired "animals are our friends" fairy tale, but if a little
demonization helps us to negate, or at least lessen, the impact of the
C. Myna, then I can live with it.
