Regarding Lake Burley Griffin:

The National Trust of the ACT has commissioned a survey/study of what Canberrans think of and want for Lake Burley Griffin.
It is rather laborious (30 mins) online, but goes through most of the frequently-used public areas round the lake & asks how often the respondent uses them & what they think of the facilities.
In every case there is the chance to 'tick'  views and nature.  Wildlife is mentioned only once specifically but if a whole flood of COG members were to complete the survey using those terms, the National Trust might have more ammunition for preventing the lakeshores being filled up with concrete edifices which may make the National capital look more 'with-it' but which would continue the destruction of Canberra's natural uniqueness.
