Tharwa Sandwash this morning had a good selection
of species present.
Notable for me were:
a Common Bronzewing
2 Black-fronted Dotterel
Brown-headed, Yellow-faced and White-plumed
Honeyeaters all sharing the same flowering eucalypt near the car parking
area
2 adult and a juvenile Diamond
Firetail
male and female Hooded Robin
2 Southern Whiteface
2 Fairy Martin
2 juvenile Dollarbird
a Double-barred Finch, and
a male and female Mistletobird eating
blackberries
The Rainbow Bee-eaters that have been there all
summer were not seen today. Not sure if thats because I just happened to miss
seeing them or because they may have already left on the northward
migration.
