Ouch...First of all I should have said that the bird was stained/marked with ink, not burnt. Apologies for any horror I may have caused. I'll send a couple of pictures of the bird later on. It was very much healthy begging for food from some fishermen. I'll report the bird to the banding scheme asap.
Seocndly CC= Cullendulla Creak, my local patch in Bateman's Bay. Today I had three Topknots, 3 Souther Emu-Wrens, 5 Pied Oystercatchers and 1 Osprey among others.
