Ainslie Frogmouths

I have just returned from my 'weekly' visit to Corrobee Park and was surprised to see that the parent Frogmouths and chicks had all gone.
I was concerned that they may have been harassed into leaving as I noted a football stuck high up in a nearby tree. What is the usual time from hatching to fledgling? - the little 'fluff-ball' I had photographed on my first visit there was taken on 18/10/08. and the last photo taken on 8/11/08 showed them nowhere near as mature as the one in the old Chough's nest at Campbell Park. Any ideas?

Divya, Did you manage to see them when you went back after Wednesday?

No Glossy Ibis at Kelly's swamp yesterday but did see the large Swamp Harrier fly low over and send all the waterfowl packing.
2 Latham's Snipe in the grass from the Ardea hide.

Cheers
Lindell
