Bright Orange beak - sounds like a Dollar Bird to me.
Very dark stocky bird. Actually blue-green body, dark head, but in poor light those colours might not be obvious.
 
If it had flown it would have been more distinctive - long wings, jerky flight, white spots. Raucous cackling call.
But if it just sat still - then you saw the only distinctive feature.
