Sunday: Fantastic day for walking along the river from carpark at Pine Island North towards Kambah Pool. Rewarded with a real variety of birds. Many rainbow bee-eaters along the way, also many mistletoe birds within the first kilometre north of pine island. They appeared to be in mistletoe within a large casaurina which was flowering but I'm afraid I dont know what it is.

White winged triller, striated pardolotes, dusky woodswallows, black fronted dotterills, dollar bird, western gerygone (farmland section of walk), yellow faced HE, a number of rufous whistlers, black faced cuckoo shrike, richards pipit, (heard double barred finches), red browed finches, plus lots of very common birds. Also raptors but I am not confident with these - certainly nankeen kestrel but the 2 bigger ones-mm need more of an expert..... Well worth heading out there - I'm going again next weekend and hoping for a replay!

Previous weekend went to Tharwa  Sandwash - rainbow bee eaters there too plus diamond dove and white throated gerygones at beginning of walk up Mt Tennant.
