Elizabeth, thank you for the report. I was going to reply, no only enclosed
dome shaped nests but HANZAB indicates "also less often, parasitize open
cup-shaped nests" and describes quite a number including the Leaden
Flycatcher as one of the main hosts in SE QLD.
We shall keep a look out on Sunday. It appears as if most of the action is round the horse gate again this year. For anyone still contemplating to join in the COG nest workshop there are plenty of places available. With Anthony's assistance we easily accommodate 30 people, we have slightly less than half of that at this time. So just let me know. Conversely if you are visiting Campbell Park between now and then please let me know off line of any nests you find and approximately where to find them. Jack Holland |
