The young frogmouth at Campbell Park is sitting today in the chough's nest, beside his mum in exactly the same posture as his mum. I wonder whether he will still be in the nest next Sunday.

I was dived by a magpie, near the horse gate; then the magpie was dived by a leaden fly catcher. We found the fly catcher's nest and then spied a Horsefield's cuckoo nearby, also being dived by the fly catcher. Is the cuckoo likely to predate the fly catcher's nest.? About 30 minutes later, a cuckoo (same one?) was in the vicinity of a triller's nest, just above the horse gate. We found no other nests today, although we tried to follow fantails and whistlers. No sign of jackie winter.
