Dan and others, I should invite you guys to my patch more often. 
 
Counting Steve's later posting of the Painted Button Quail it's two species that I've never seen here before, with the Superb Parrot a very rare S of the lake sighting.  On the other hand Brown Quail have been quite common around the NW end of Cooleman Ridge pretty much since the fires, and often in unsuitable habitat such as on the top dry parts of the ridge. 
 
Trust all obs are going into the COG database.
