Hi all

went up to Goorooyarroo this afternoon.

Saw two wedgetail eagles (twice - there were about 2 hours between sightings, but I assume they were the same birds) circling above the southern and southeastern slope of Gecko Hill.

Varied Sittella

Yellow rumped and buff rumped thornbills

and lots of other little birds, yellow, pale yellow/brownish, with and without white eyebrow, ... Looking at the photos on the COG site, I'd say they were yellow thornbills and brown gerygone - but two rarish birds in one hit???

Watched Crimson and Eastern Rosellas take long baths in one of the dams, briefly joined by a female Magpie Lark.

one friar bird

The rest were the usual suspects (Wrens, Cockatoos, Ravens, Galahs, Kookaburra, noisy miners, magpies).

Are there more Eastern Rosellas around than usual? They seem to be everywhere.

Cheers, Susanne
