I went out to the Mt Majura, Hackett -near the water tank at about mid day on the gloomy, drizzly, windy conditions on 27 April. Sorry for the delay but I have not switched on my computer since before then (amazingly). I observed maybe about 15 Swift Parrots there. They were hard to find and very skittish. They are well camouflaged in the tree tops. Seeing them perched I thought I could see one, then two and got to three and then about 15 flew out of the tree. I had not known how similar one of their calls is to that of a Brown Treecreeper. Not a great viewing but still worth it. The past time I saw a Swift Parrot better than just flying past, was back in about 1972.
