As Geoffrey says his name is Honeycomb (he
is a male) and he certainly gets around. I have had him feeding in what passes
for my front garden in Kaleen while I was talking to his owner. He is a lovely
Alpaca and is often seen being driven around the northern suburbs with his head
out of the car window in much the same fashion as a large dog. Butcherbirds
aren’t bad either!!

Butcherbird in Wanniassa??
Take the camera
around the butcheries, Di. Actually I have heard them around
the Griffith
shops. [As you might expect in Canberra,
the alpaca is real, and not all that unusual. It’s name is ‘Honeycomb’]

I saw, what I can only believe to be butcher birds, passing by about 2 weeks
ago. They were a pair, and I have no idea what they were, as I didn't get a
very good look at them. If they weren't butcher birds, I don't know what they
were. Though I have never seen them ever before. You can't get any more vague
than that ;)
If only I had my camera :(
