We have seen sparrows in
our Holder garden on a daily basis in the 4+ years that we have lived
here.
Yesterday my wife counted a
dozen. The most that I have seen is 20+. There are plenty of
juveniles so breeding does not appear to be a problem, even though we also
regularly get Common Mynas (maximum no was 25+). Other exotics include
blackbirds, rock dove, spotted dove [note new name] and the occasional
starling.
But we do get natives too,
particularly parrots. I was able to add red rumps to our list a couple of
weeks ago.
