I saw the birds on Sunday (during the COG visit) and have also had some difficulty with them. A look a HANZAB and the Photographic Index Shorebirds volumn has reveals that pale morph non-breeding jaegers have white rumps (and necks). The Index also indicated that immatures and juveniles have pale rumps also.
 
I also believe that there were Arctic Jaegers there also. The bird on the water at the second lookout was smaller than the first bird seen at the first lookout.
