An early walk following emails by Philip and the Wallaces (thanks)
above Wickens Place brought ... well, superb views of many small flocks of SPs. They move so swiftly and often, that counting them accurately was impossible, but within 50-70 range in the area I could see at any one time seems reasonable. Here are my hard-won results taken with a hand held digital camera. The long grass hides many of the birds - rounding one corner I disturbed a flock of (20?) which rose almost from my feet. http://picasaweb.google.com/bronkin/SuperbParrots click on "Slideshow" Bronwyn King ******************************************************************************************************* This is the email announcement and discussion list of the Canberra Ornithologists Group.
