Sorry Rusky, I rarely disagree with your wisdom, but on this occasion
I'm with Mark (and that may be another first :-) ). Paul's description
is spot on for the somewhat unnerving experience of a Yellow-bellied
Glider sailing over the tent in full gurgling shrieking cry.
And while on mammals (sorry again, but the line is fairly quiet at the
moment) this morning on Barry Drive, opposite Kingsley St which runs
into the ANU past Toad Hall and the Drill Hall Gallery, was a dead
Ringtail Possum. Unlike the case in other cities these seem to be very
rare in Canberra suburbia, except immediately adjacent to nature
reserves, so I thought this was worth a mention.
