Hi mark,

The goorooyaroo-mulligans reserve forms a U shape as you may know, with a
rural lease filling in the middle. According the future ACT development
map found in the library a new suburb (can?t remember the name) will be
placed in this rural lease area. This new suburb as we all know, will mean
all kinds of changes to the surrounding reserve. A reserve which protects
grassy-woodlands - an ecosystem with only 5% of its original area
remaining!!

I hope COG also put in a submission about this development as it will
seriously impact on the restoration experiments being undertaken in this
reserve and will no doubt lead to further loss of species in an already
endangered community.

I may be missing some information, and I?m sure other are more informed of
the future fragmentation and degradation activities planned for the ACT.

Regards
Brett
