Might I suggest that Occam's Razor has shredded the rule book this season
- your resident White-fronted Honeyeater being one of many examples.

Having encountered an unbarred juvenile Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo a few
minutes after watching the Black-eared Cuckoos at Uriarra Crossing, I can
well understand how the two can be confused.  Better to ask the question
and be mistaken, than to not ask and be right (and not know it.)
