Hello Alastair & company,
Where abouts was this bird? Near the education centre? I didn't see the Godwit at 10:30 am when I visited the wetlands. There were 10 Stilts, 2 Glossy Ibis, 1 Royal Spoonbill, 1 White-necked Heron (briefly), 2 Pink-eared Ducks, 1 female Austr. Shoveller.
On the Sewage works there were roughly 300 Hoary Headed Grebes, 300 Hardheads, 100 Pacific Black Ducks, 70 Grey Teal, 30 Pine eared Duck, 40 Austr. Shoveller and 20 Blue-billed Ducks among others...
Cheers!
Dimitris

‘Tis the week of the wader with a Long-toed Stint observed by Stuart Cooney and I at Jerrabomberra Wetlands this morning. The bird was loosely associating with the Bar-tailed Godwit. I will prepare an unusual bird report, which if accepted by the rarities committee, will be the second record for the ACT; the first being in December 2002.
Regards
Alastair
