I visited some sites in the Hall area today. Highlight was a female Cockatiel perched quietly on a horizontal limb of a dead Blakely's by Hall TSR. This spot was alive with over 60 White-browed Woodswallows, as well as several Rufous Songlarks and a Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo, some looking as though they may start breeding soon. The Cockatiel had normal wild colouration and was perched high up in the tree. I could approach and stand under the tree without it showing any nervousness, although it was pretty high up. Later it was sitting quietly with its bill tucked under its back feathers. The Woodswallows included some Duskies as well.

On the Hall woodland walk I also had a Shining Bronze-Cuckoo, several Olive-backed Orioles and a nesting pair of Sacred Kingfishers.

Cheers
Marnix
