This is not a hoax. Since my last message, I went
to the shop and had a stop for breakfast/lunch. I just went out again for 10
minutes and had much longer view of the bird and got a lot more video film of
it, that I hope will be a little steadier and better focussed than the first
lot. I haven't looked yet. I am certain of the ID of a White-fronted Honeyeater. It flew from the neighbour's at the front
(battle-axe block on Boddington circuit), over my house and last seen at the
backyard of 22 Castley Circuit. This is certainly a GBS first (and I
haven't put up this year's chart yet). I am sooooo glad that others had seen it
at JW. (I drove all the way out there only to miss out and then had to return my
car to be fixed yet again as it overheated again. My car has been badly repaired
after a broken head gasket and I have only had it for about 6 days since April).
Birding is funny.
What a pest, I should be working on job
applications.
