Not so, it is not the 2nd such record. There is
nothing new about this and it would be hard to say that such "hybrids are becoming more common": See the
GBS Report: top of page 57 (section header under "Parrots") (bottom of page 56
in the 18 year edition) where the following text is found.
"As well as these, there are several records of hybrids of the Eastern and
Crimson Rosella but these are not monitored separately in the GBS."
If a code has been assigned for them since then, well that is fine but
that it was not previously and that these were not included then that would be a
reason for any suggested increase.
