An "early return" GBS Chart for year 26 has recorded a hybrid Crimson rosella x Eastern rosella. This is the second such record in the GBS. In conversation with the observer it was suggested that these hybrids are becoming more common, and the possibility that observers were not recording them because of doubts about their status. There is a GBS code for such hybrids so could I ask that anyone who does see such a bird within their site, records it as a write-in species.
