I'm sure I don't know what time of the year it is.  Today there is a newly fledged Pied Currawong in our yard.  Its tail is barely half grown and it is begging noisily.  My Granny Smith tree still has leaves all over it and developing apples the size of a golf ball.  There certainly is a lot of nest building etc going on all over town though.
