Roger et al - lovely photo - you could well be right that 8 of the ducklings were from the Narrabundah Hill dam, I couldn't find them there last night either.

It is quite possible there have been three clutches in this area recently as my wife saw 8 very small ducklings on the next dam along, about 1 km on the SW track, yesterday evening.  Whether early or late, it does seem the Feb rain has caused a spate of wood duck breeding in this area.

Have seen GBB in this area recently too.
