Ian, Louise and Frank will be pleased to know that the PBB did NOT turn up in the extra hour I was there. I cannot imagine what the extra B stands for, but Frances has suggested that the 'P' stands for "Painted", thus continuing Ian's concept of birds so named being pigments of the imagination.
Other goodish things were two brown goshawks deterring the PBB from appearing and hearing at least 3 skylarks overhead when I stopped to inspect the bike track at Stromlo Forest Park.
