This time I have seen the comments from Ian and Mark before sending my own. As before, I'm in independent full agreement with them. Actually looking at the available field guides, there is a big difference in illustrations of the juvenile Pallid Cuckoo. The pictures in P.P.& R Slater, Simpson & Day are very good, Pizzey & Doyle and Morcombe are mediocre and Pizzey & Knight is terrible. I'd even say that sometimes the mottled grey and white of a juvenile Pallid Cuckoo can even resemble an untidy cockatiel.
