I was out at Mulligans today from 6.15-8.15pm trying to follow the movements of these 2 species.

Black Honeyeaters
I finally found the female Black H/eater at GPS 35 09.57' S 149 10.35'E at 7.45pm. I had seen a female and male in this spot before, which is some 100 metres west of the dam. Although 2 birds had been seen over an hour earlier by several observers east of the north-south treeline. Then at around 8pm I found the sub-adult male Black H/eater roosting in a eucalypt sapling about 1.5 metres from the ground. GPS coords were 35 10.07'S 149 10.43'E.

Little Lorikeets
Initially after 6.30pm a pair of Little Lorikeets were present around the large Yellow Box. They later flew off heading west. At 7.15pm 6 birds flew overhead heading west. It did not look like they were stopping anywhere in Mulligans Flat. Some 20 minutes later another 5 birds flew high overhead in the same direction. These birds may have come from Goorooyarroo.

Superb Parrots
I did not hear any Superb Parrots around the big dam today. I wonder if these birds have now moved to Mt Rogers? The last time I heard any Superbs flying over my house was around 7am this morning.

Cheers
Marnix
