The family of tawny frogmouths is still in our
garden - most days being not at all 'cryptic', with the four of them on low
or obvious branches, though this afternoon I can only find one young one on a
casuarina branch close to the trunk on the leeward side (cool and windy now). On
Monday night I disturbed an adult on the ground (deep leaf litter) at about
11.00 pm.
