Hanzab v7, p 790: "Re-use of old nests: Old nests
refurbished or repaired with fresh mud and lining before being re-used. One nest
used three consecutive years had c. 2.5 cm of mud added each year. At Inverell,
disused nests were maintained by puncturing base of nest with bill, allowing
water to seep through without damaging walls; absent birds returned to nest at
onset of rain." (references removed).
