Yesterday afternoon (30 Oct) was a good day for crakes at Kellys. At
Crake Alley, I saw 1 Buff-banded, 1 Baillon?s, 1 Spotless and 1 Aust
Spotted. Between the Bittern and Cygnus hides, 2 Baillon?s and 1 Spotless
(plus a Glossy Ibis), and 1-2 Buff-banded in front of, and to the left of,
the Cygnus hide. Best views I?ve ever had of Buff-banded Rails.

Earlier in the day, at Mulligan?s, no sign of the Pied Butcherbird(s).
Grey Butcherbird at the large dam, and Noisy Friarbirds were remarkably
numerous ? they were everywhere, chasing each other around, and carrying
on. Raptors were represented by a Peregrine, a Brown Falcon and a
Black-shouldered Kite.

Regards
Frank
