Pizzey describes it as: a sharp ‘tick’,
like snapping twig.
I too heard the call when observing the
bird and that’s exactly what it sounded like. I’d never heard one
call before.

Pink Robin and Blue-faced HE
The P Robin was at the previously reported spot again
this morning - although only for relatively brief periods. On
this occasion, as it was calm with little garden racket, an aid to locating it
was its soft but distinct 'tick'. [ "Attention may first be
attracted by hearing Tick ... which is said to be the normal call."

be grateful to hear
- off-line please, so as not to clog it up. I did a 65
minute
hypothermic vigil early yesterday on the Melville Hall
balcony for the
Bf HE...
