As soon as I got off the plane and picked up my rental car yesterday
morning, I went birding at Jerrabomberra Wetlands. I saw about 35 species
of birds in a couple of hours, the best for me were two SPotles Crakes in
plane view across the water from the first hire to the left from the car
park ("Bittern"?). This species was a "lifer" for me, always great to get
a lifer rail standing in the open in good light!
