Geoffrey,very interesting re the mistletoes and brood failures for painted Honeyeaters. I found at Mt Ainslie in 05/06 that in spring the mistletoe crop looked promising, but later in the season not much was around, very few Mistletoe Birds over the breeding season. Also at Mt Ainslie King Parrots take a significant share of the crop. Michael Lenz |
