Went to Tidbinbilla Saturday, several Wedgetail eagles and M/Fshining flycatchers, as well as lots of grasshoppers. Also spotted in the wetland area were 6 pied geese ? My trusty field guide (Pizzey) tells me that their range is now the floodplains of Tropical North Australia and that visits south of the tropics are rare ?? See attached Attachment:
