Glad to hear that I11 wasn't the only square suffering shortages of small birds and of raptors ( 1 kestrel and 1 BS kite only) but it was great that the long-awaited brown songlarks managed to return for their summer visit by Saturday morning . At least four of them appeared for the occasion. Also saw three Yellow-tailed BCs over the Barton Highway west of Hall but unfortunately a little way outside the square. Couldn't see how to tempt them in to be counted!

On the other hand I finally found the Indian Ringnecked Parakeet that lives just west of Fraser to make the feral population more colourful. (Unfortunately couldn't work out whether it is Alexandrine or Rose-ringed - does somebody with longer and better acquaintance know?)

A few of the other regulars were also missing but overall a good weekend. Thanks for the incentive, Barbara.
