I too called into Newline yesterday, but in the late afternon,on my way back from a most interesting day on Mt Gibraltar (few birds though). All the action in Newline was at the bottom of the front paddock (well, possibly not but I didn't go any further). Standout sightings included a very large flock of Striated Pardalotes - a wave of 28, with many more calling; and a flock of 11 Varied Sittella. b |
