Black shouldered kites

This is one of those Kites, I guess.
I took the photo on Narrabundah Hill ten days ago.
It had much more brown on it then is evident in the photo and is very definitely a juvenile.
 
 
They seem to breed both spring and autumn.
I noticed a pair repairing a nest (out Dunlop way) last week.
Saturday they were very much into mating but have yet to lay eggs;
leastwise while both are sitting near the nest neither is sitting on it.
