Wendy,
Surely you mean "up here", rather than "down here". Thedbo is a lot higher,
even than Canberra, and isn't that the point of noting a difference between
"here" and "there". The north/south issue is hardly important. At this time
of year the Olive-backed Oriole will be passing through. They are common
summer migrants to forest & woodland in SE Australia.
