This morning Michael Wright and I followed the advice of Marnix Z and visited Rob Roy Nature Reserve near Conder. While the morning was cool and the birding a little slow, the sighting of a Chestnut-rumped Heathwren and at least one pair of Glossy Black-Cockatoos more than made up for the lack of bird diversity. The Chestnut-rumped Heathwren was initially heard by Michael and it was our reason for visiting the NR. A little later I had excellent views of the bird, which was a lifer for me; made all the better too, for seeing it in the COG AO.

Regards
Alastair
