At least 5 there this morning.
Also a late posting - sorry, I've been away. Last Sat morning the
Great-crested Grebe was in the inlet east of the bridge just north of the
Governor-General's front gate, ie at the beginning of Westbourne Woods. I had
great views. Maybe it retreats in there when the rowers are out on the lake
being yelled out by a megaphone-wielding male!

Went to the reserve off Rivett St Hacket this morning & saw 5 LL. Had no luck
until about 8 when the group flew down from the slopes of Mt Ainslie. After
doing a circuit around the reservior they settled in a tree just down from the
powerlines...where I happened to be standing. Two then alighted on bare
branches of a nearby dead tree, thereby presenting excellent views. The birds
were only vocal when flying. They departed for suburbia & presumably the
flowering eucalypts in the area at about 8.40. So I left too!
